TORGERSON PROPERTIES ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR A NEW HAMPTON INN IN FAIRMONT, MINNESOTA

Torgerson Properties will add a fourth hotel in Fairmont, Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS – March 14, 2008 – Torgerson Properties announces plans to build a new Hampton Inn in Fairmont, Minn. The largest hotel operator in the state, Torgerson Properties already owns and operates a Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn and Super 8 Motel in Fairmont.

The 3 story Hampton Inn will be located to the north of the existing Comfort Inn at the intersection of Interstate 90 and Highway 15 and feature 52 comfortable and stylish guest rooms, an expansive complimentary continental breakfast, well equipped fitness center, indoor pool and whirlpool and meeting space for up to 30 people.

Work on the project is expected to begin soon with a projected opening date in summer of 2009.

“Although the hotel industry is susceptible to changes in the economy, we feel strongly that the combination of our local market knowledge and the power of a Hilton brand will help mitigate the risk of developing this property,” added Peterson. “Although many believe this hotel may be ahead of demand in the Fairmont market, we feel the Hilton loyal travelers are looking for a Hampton Inn on I-90. This hotel not only compliments Torgerson Properties’ existing hotels in the area, but will be strategically located midway between the next closest Hampton Inns in Rochester and Sioux Falls.”
